
Our client is a global bank that is looking to hire a seasoned sales executive to focus on the China in-bound/ out-bound asset owner client segment. Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is essential to be successful in this role.
Based in Hong Kong with frequent travel to Taiwan and China, you will use a relationship based approach to develop an active dialogue with the ‘C’ suite of clients. With a good understanding of RQFII and the mutual fund recognition programme you will target the Chinese Asset Managers and Insurance firms, along with Central Banks, Global Custodians and Sovereign Wealth funds looking for China access. As the main point of contact you will partner with the in-country teams to lead the sales initiatives for RFP’s and provide oversight throughout the sales and on-boarding cycle.
To be considered for this role you must:
- demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the securities and funds market in Asia with an understanding of RQFII and related products;
- be energetic, pro-active in approach and comfortable working as an individual contributor as part of a broader team.
- be educated to degree level with further education or a professional qualification an advantage:
- be a seasoned presenter in English and Putonghua.
